Am I eligible for a child care scholarship through Raising Travis County?
You may qualify if you:
- Live in Travis County
- Are working, looking for work, in school, or in job training
- Meet income guidelines based on household size
You may still qualify even if you’re not currently working.
Priority enrollment focuses on children ages 0–3, where the need is greatest. Support is available for children up to age 12, including out-of-school time care.
Income Guidelines
Funding is available for families earning up to 85% of the State Median Income. For example, a family of four may qualify with an annual income of $87,731 or less.
How To Apply
- Create or log in to your Texas Child Care Connection (TX3C) account
- Check your eligibility and complete the child care waitlist application
- Watch for confirmation and follow-up email

Families can search for licensed child care programs using the Texas Child Care Availability Portal, which allows you to find providers near your home, work, or along your commute. The portal shows which programs are actively enrolling and their quality ratings. If your preferred provider does not yet have an agreement with us, they may contact our team to learn more about becoming a scholarship provider.
